Program Description: With the revenue recognition effective date fast approaching (January 1, 2019 for most private companies), the Alaska Society of CPAs offers this seminar to explore the fundamentals of the new FASB revenue recognition standard as well as implementation issues that industry specialists have seen in practice. Participants will explore some of the accounting issues and interpretations that are the most impactful or misunderstood as they adopt the new revenue standard. Industry-specific considerations to federal government contractors will be discussed.
