Job Description

Position: Senior Accountant
Location: Anchorage
Pay Range: $85,000 and excellent benefits

Excellent opportunity for a skilled Senior Accountant to work with one of Alaska’s most respected brands. As an integral member of the General Ledger Accounting team, you’ll assist in ensuring efficient and accurate work at an advanced level position under minimal supervision. Essential Qualifications:
Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or closely related field required.
Minimum of seven (7) years of progressively responsible general ledger accounting experience. (CPA experience may substitute for general ledger accounting experience)
Experience using Accounting software, Oracle preferred
Intermediate to advanced Excel skills in creating and manipulating spreadsheets, and ability to operate 10-key by touch.
Demonstrated technical knowledge of accounting procedures and solid understanding of Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP).
Demonstrated strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
Strong team player with demonstrated interpersonal and communication skills and positive, professional attitude.
Demonstrated organizational and time management skills.
Dependable with commitment to meeting accounting deadlines. Willingness to work additional hours as needed to meet deadlines.
Attention to detail and ability to learn quickly keep confidential information secure and to work with minimal supervision.
Experience in the preparation of journal entries.
Strong organizational and time management skills.
Valid DL and clean driving record
Some weekend and after-hours work may be required
