Implementation year is NOW! While many have waited to implement the standard until the real effective date, there are many pitfalls and challenges to be considered. Accounting for long term contracts using the new model, accumulating information for multiple new tabular disclosures and considering the effects on the standard will have on businesses; i.e. the line of credit, are only a few issues that management of companies and their accountants must be concerned.

Delve into the implementation issues not just the new reporting model for revenue recognition for long term contracts. This standard has the potential to consume a lot of the internal and external accountants time and energy in the implementation year. This session will assist in identifying some of the more complex issues. The disclosures required for the year of implementation will be for only one year but after the implementation year, there will be continuing disclosure requirements. Very few, if any, business entities will not be affected. Dont assume or hope that your business isnt affected, find out the details in this session.
