Member Benefits
Fiscal Year: 2011-2012
OBJECTIVES:
To have every eligible person within the State of Alaska become a member of the Society and to provide members with benefits through various group plans, other specific plans, and other such benefits as may be appropriate.
GENERAL DUTIES:
1. Recommend applicants for election to membership in the Society at full, associate and student member levels.
2. At regular monthly meetings present new membership certificates. Prepare announcement for Newsletter.
3. Prepare a brochure describing the member services and promoting AKCPA membership for use in recruiting.
4. Review and evaluate offers from companies for group discounts and seek out such discounts where appropriate.
5. Review and evaluate other benefits which would be of value to AKCPA members.
WORK PROGRAM:
1. Establish a Member of the Month program where AKCPA sponsors a member to be highlighted at monthly meetings.
2. Hold orientation meetings with new members.
3. Expand "Members on the Move" article in the Newsletter.
4. Create a Membership Packet.
5. Establish a policy of Board and Committee representatives greeting new members at meetings and establishing a buddy system for the event.
6. Present ASCPA membership certificates at monthly meetings.
