Under the President and CEO and Contracted Controller, the GL Accountant is responsible for routine and non-routine accounting functions with significant focus on General Ledger Accounting. This position is responsible for supporting key activities such as month-end and quarter-end close, fixed assets, account reconciliations, journal entries, and audits. This position will ensure data accuracy in ensuring that AP/AR functions allocate expenses according to budget and program cost reporting, reconcile financial statements and accounts, ensure that data supports budget and forecasting documents, provide solutions to control issues, ensure entries are accurate and that transactions are reported in accordance with accounting standards and government regulations. This position will also oversee payroll and benefits administration for approximately 55-75 employees and work closely with the Human Resources Department to ensure payroll allocations are accurate, new employees are enrolled with correct pay and benefits information. This position will prepare weekly vendor payments and prepare check deposits, ensuring accurate coding.
